Thy Saviour, Thy Master

Released November 13, 2025 · Independent

The first single of the year, released on July 16, marked a new era in Kalmo's evolving realm. This second single carries the burden of dense, impenetrable shadows, dragging the listener further into the thickness of the band's signature blackened doom aesthetic.

“Thy Saviour, Thy Master hits hard with crushing heft, brutish composition and lyrics delivered with menacing intent. It paints a terrifyingly vivid image of a church inundated by unthinkable evil, a congregation ambushed, overwhelmed, and ultimately torn asunder by the servants of a new dark lord. The track is muscular, replete with all the heaviness that I've come to expect from Kalmo, while delivering raw, infectious riffs. There is however, a new serrated edge to the sound, injected by the new band members adding a delicious depth to the listener experience. No other band in recent years has been able to blend the grit of raw black metal with the thunderous majesty of traditional doom quite like Kalmo.”
